Boardssey is built around teams. Each team has its own workspace and subscription, with individual user accounts as members.

Account Structure

  • Team Account: A workspace shared by multiple users, with its subscription plan

  • User Accounts: Individual accounts that can be given different access levels within a team (Admin, Member, or Collaborator)

Creating Your Account

Initial Setup

Begin your journey with Boardssey by following these steps to create your account:

  1. Navigate to boardssey.com and locate the "Try for Free" button in the top navigation bar.

  2. Select your subscription plan:

    • Adventurer: Begin your design expedition. Perfect for solo developers and small projects

    • Pathfinder: Chart your journey to success. Ideal for growing teams

    • Oracle: Turn your vision into tabletop gold. Complete feature set for professional studios

  3. Click the "Get Started" button on the landing page to begin the process.

  4. Choose your preferred sign-up method:

    • Email Sign-up:

      • Enter your email address (we recommend using your work email for easier team collaboration)

      • Create a secure password that meets our security requirements

      • Click "Sign up with Email" to proceed

    • Google Sign-up:

      • Click the "Continue with Google" button

      • Select your Google account or enter your credentials

      • Authorize Boardssey to access your basic profile information

    • Discord Sign-up:

      • Click the "Continue with Discord" button

      • Log in to your Discord account if needed

      • Authorize Boardssey to access your basic profile information

  5. Confirm your email address by clicking on the link sent to you in the email

Team Configuration

After creating your account, you'll need to set up your team workspace:

  1. On the team setup page, you'll see three steps: Team, Profile, and Plan.

  2. In the Team section:

    • Enter your team or company name in the "Team/Company name" field

    • Add your website URL (this is optional)

    • Select "Yes" or "No" to indicate if you're a publisher

    • Click "Create Team" to proceed

  3. In the Profile section:

    • Enter your first name

    • Enter your last name

    • Select your role(s) from the dropdown menu (options include Game Designer, Game Developer, Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Cultural Consultant, Production Manager, Translator, Sculptor, Editor, Writer, Art Director, Project Manager, or Owner)

    • Click "Continue" to move to the final step

Subscription Setup

After selecting your plan and creating your account, you'll need to configure your subscription:

  1. Choose your billing frequency:

    • Monthly billing

    • Yearly billing (save with annual subscription)

  2. Click "Start 14-Day Trial" to begin the process.

  3. Enter your payment details:

    • Provide the email address for billing

    • Enter your card information

    • Input the cardholder's name

    • Add your billing address

    • (Optional) Add a coupon code to apply any available discounts

    • Review the subscription details and trial terms

  4. Click "Start trial" to activate your account.

Note: You can try any plan free for 14 days. Your card won't be charged until the trial period ends.
