Project stats
Read the Stats tab, which adds up tasks across all your projects, shows overdue work, and lists the projects with the most open tasks.
Last reviewed October 11, 2026
The Stats tab adds up the tasks of every project you can see and shows how much is done, how much is overdue, and which projects still have the most work. Use it for a quick health check or a status update.
What this page helps you do
- See total, overdue, open and completed task counts across all projects.
- Read the completion chart.
- Find the projects with the most unfinished tasks.
- Refresh the numbers on demand.
You'll start from Projects in the sidebar, then the Stats tab (/home/projects?tab=stats).
Open the Stats tab
In the sidebar, click Projects, then the Stats tab. The top line says when the numbers were last updated ("Last updated ...") and has a Refresh button.
Helpful details
- Key areas: four tiles, the Task Completion Overview chart and the Projects with Incomplete Tasks list.
- What you can do: click Refresh to recount everything right now.
- Good to know: the stats cover every project you can open, together. There are no per-project stats; for one project, read its card on the Projects tab (completed, overdue and total tasks).
The four tiles
The tiles at the top summarise the whole team.
Helpful details
- Key areas: Total Tasks with "N% complete" under it; Overdue, which reads "Needs attention" when above zero and "All on track" at zero; In Progress, the open tasks, with their "% of total"; and Completed, with its "% done".
- What you can do: glance at Overdue first. Then compare In Progress with Completed to see how far along the work is.
- Good to know: In Progress means any open task, in any column, not only a column called In Progress.
The completion chart
Task Completion Overview shows the "Distribution of tasks across all projects" as a chart.
Helpful details
- Key areas: three parts: Overdue, Incomplete and Complete, each with its count and share.
- What you can do: hover a part to read "N tasks (P%)".
- Good to know: with no tasks yet it says "No tasks yet".
Projects with incomplete tasks
The list at the bottom ranks your projects by how much is left to do.
Helpful details
- Key areas: one row per project with its name and "N incomplete tasks", "Sorted by number of incomplete tasks". Previous and Next page through them.
- What you can do: click a row to open that project's board.
- Good to know: when nothing is left it says "All tasks completed!".
Reading the stats
A few patterns and what they usually mean.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the Overdue tile and the top of the Projects with Incomplete Tasks list.
- What you can do: a high Overdue count means due dates were set and not met. Either move the dates or check what is blocking the work. One project with most of the incomplete tasks is where to spend your next planning session. A low Completed share after weeks of work often means tasks are finished but never marked done. Tick them off.
- Good to know: treat the numbers as a conversation starter, not a verdict. A rough patch in real work shows up as rough numbers.
Tips & common questions
Can I see stats for one project? Not on this tab. The project's card on the Projects tab shows its completed, overdue and total tasks and a progress bar.
The numbers look out of date. Counts update as tasks change and are also recomputed on a schedule. Click Refresh to recount right now.
Do the stats include projects I cannot open? No. Only the projects you can see are counted. An admin who can open every project sees the full picture.
Can I export the stats? No. Take a screenshot or copy the numbers into your status update.
