Projects hub
Find every project in your team, read a project card at a glance, and get around the six tabs of the Projects page.

The Projects page is the home of everything you plan and track in Boardssey: your project boards, every task across them, your calendar, your milestones and your stats. This article shows you around the page and its project cards.
What this page helps you do
- Find every project in your team and open the right one.
- Read a project card: which game it belongs to, how far along it is, what is overdue.
- Archive, duplicate or delete a project.
- Know what the other five tabs of the page are for.
You'll start from Projects in the sidebar (/home/projects).
Open the Projects page
In the sidebar, click Projects. The page title is "Projects", with the line "Track your entire design journey from concept to publication" under it.
Across the top are six tabs. You land on the first one.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the tabs are Projects, Templates, All Tasks, Calendar, Milestones and Stats. The address bar keeps the tab you are on (
?tab=projects,?tab=tasksand so on), so you can bookmark a tab. - What you can do: Projects lists your boards. Templates holds reusable board layouts. All Tasks is every open task in one list. Calendar plots tasks by due date. Milestones shows each game's key dates on one timeline. Stats adds up task counts across all projects.
- Good to know: the top right has New project. Admins, members and collaborators all see the Projects page, but each person only sees the projects they can open (see Control who can see a project).
Read a project card
The Projects tab shows one card per project. Cards are sorted by the last task update, newest first. Click a card to open its board.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the game's cover (or your team's picture for a project with no game), the game title (or the team name), the project name, and when it was last updated ("3 days ago").
- What you can do: read the Completed tasks count, the Overdue tasks count (only shown when something is overdue), the progress bar and the total number of tasks.
- Good to know: an archived project carries an Archived badge. There is no search or sort control on this tab; the only switch is Show Archived / Hide Archived.
Archive, duplicate or delete a project
Each card has a ⋮ menu in its corner. What you see in it depends on your role.
- Click the ⋮ on the card.
- Pick Archive (or Unarchive), Duplicate or Delete.
- For Duplicate, give the copy a Name, an optional Description and, for a game project, pick the game, then click Duplicate.
- For Delete, confirm in the dialog that opens.
Helpful details
- Key areas: Archive and Unarchive are for admins only. Duplicate and Delete are for admins and members. Collaborators get no menu.
- What you can do: archiving hides the board from the list without deleting anything. Flip Show Archived to bring archived projects back and unarchive them.
- Good to know: Duplicate copies the columns, tasks, subtasks, tags, assignees and, for a private project, its member list. It is also the only way to attach a copy of a project to a different game, since a project's game cannot be changed after creation. Delete removes the project and all of its tasks for good.
Game projects and team projects
A project is either linked to one game or belongs to the team as a whole.
Helpful details
- Key areas: you choose Project type (Team or Game) when you create a project. A game project shows the game's cover on its card and its tasks sit in that game's row on the task timeline.
- What you can do: use a game project for the work on one design. Use a team project for studio work: a convention, a Kickstarter, your website.
- Good to know: a project is linked to at most one game, and the link cannot be changed later. If you picked the wrong game, duplicate the project onto the right one and delete the original.
Tips & common questions
Why don't I see a project a teammate created? Every project has an access level: Admins, Members, Collaborators or Private. You only see projects at or below your role, and private projects you were added to. As a collaborator you also need access to the project's game. See Control who can see a project.
New project is greyed out. Your plan's project limit is reached. Hover over the button and it says "You've reached your plan limit! Upgrade to continue adding projects." Adventurer includes 10 projects, Pathfinder 40, Oracle has no limit. Archived projects still count toward the limit; deleting a project frees a slot.
How is this different from All Tasks? The Projects tab is project by project: pick a board, then work on its tasks. All Tasks is one list of every open task across every project you can see. See All tasks.
Can a project span several games? No, a project is linked to one game or none. A single task, though, can be shown in several projects. See Tasks and subtasks.
Can I change a project's name or description? Yes, if you are an admin. Open the board and click the title or the description to edit it in place.
