Game Permissions Feature

We've added granular access control for games to give you more flexibility when collaborating with your team.

Updated today
  • Game-Level Access Control: Administrators can now specify which Collaborators have access to individual games

  • Automatic Project & Playtest Access: When a Collaborator is granted access to a game, they automatically gain access to all related projects and playtests

  • Permissions Management Interface: New UI accessible from any game detail page via the "Permissions" button

  • Default Access Rules: Admins and Members retain full access to all games in the workspace by default

How It Works

  1. Navigate to any game in your workspace

  2. Click on the new "Permissions" button

  3. Select which Collaborators should have access to this game

  4. Save your changes

Important Notes

  • Existing Collaborators: If you already have Collaborators on your account, you'll need to explicitly grant them access to games you want them to see

  • Role Hierarchy: This feature only affects users with the Collaborator role - Admins and Members automatically have access to all games

  • Related Content Access: When a Collaborator is granted access to a game, they can also view and contribute to all associated playtests and projects

Use Cases

This feature enables several powerful workflows:

  • Bring in specialized freelancers for specific games only

  • Share designs at the appropriate development stage

  • Create separate playtesting groups for different games

  • Protect sensitive game mechanics during development
