The Media section is your game’s visual library. Here, you can upload, manage, and share images, videos, PDFs, and other files that bring your board game project to life. Follow these steps to make the most of this feature:
1. Accessing the Media Section
Navigate to your game’s workspace.
In the sidebar or the game’s navigation tabs, click on Media.
You’ll see the Game Media Gallery with options to upload and manage files.
2. Uploading Media Files
Click the “Upload Media” Button
Find and click the Upload Media button at the top of the section.
Choose Your Files
You can either drag and drop files into the upload area or click to open your file browser and select files.
Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4, PDF.
File size limit: 5MB per file.
Set Media Details
For each file, you may be prompted to:
Select the type (Image, Video, PDF, etc.).
Add a description to help identify the file.
Optionally, set the file as Public Share if you want it visible in your public portfolio.
Upload
Click the upload/confirm button.
Wait for the upload to complete. You’ll see a success message when done.
3. Managing Uploaded Media
All uploaded files will appear in a gallery or list.
For each file, you can:
View: Click to preview images, watch videos, or read PDFs.
Edit: Update the description, type, or sharing settings.
Delete: Remove files you no longer need.
4. Sharing Media Publicly
If you want certain media files to appear in your public game portfolio:
Toggle the Public Share option when uploading or editing a file.
Public files will be visible to anyone with your portfolio link, such as publishers or collaborators.
5. Tips and Best Practices
Organize by Type: Use the type selector to categorize your files (e.g., Rulebook, Gameplay, Component, Logo).
Describe Your Files: Add clear descriptions so you and your collaborators know what each file is for.
Respect File Limits: Keep files under 5MB and in accepted formats for smooth uploads.
Portfolio Ready: Only mark files as public if you’re comfortable sharing them outside your team.
6. Troubleshooting
If you see an error uploading a file, check:
The file size (must be ≤ 5MB).
The file format (must be JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4, or PDF).
If you have issues, try refreshing the page or re-uploading.
