Forgot your password
On the sign-in page, click Forgot password?. Enter your email address. We'll send a password reset link.
The reset link:
Is single-use, once you've reset, that link won't work again.
Expires after about an hour for safety.
Goes to whatever email is on your account, even if it isn't the one you typed (typo-protection).
If you don't see the email within a couple of minutes, check spam. Still nothing? See "Can't find a sent email" below.
If you sign in via Google or Discord and never set a Boardssey password, "Forgot password?" doesn't apply, sign in via Google/Discord instead, then optionally set a password from Settings → User → Email and login.
Didn't receive the verification email at sign-up
When you sign up by email, Boardssey sends a verification link. Until you click it, the account isn't confirmed. If it didn't arrive:
Check spam, most missing emails end up there.
On the sign-in page, sign in with the email and password you just used. If the account is unverified, you'll see a Resend verification email option.
If still nothing, the email server on your side may be blocking us. Try a different email address, or contact us via the chat bubble (you can do this from the marketing site without signing in).
Can't find a sent email
A few quick checks:
Spam / junk folder: the most common cause.
Promotions tab (Gmail), sometimes Boardssey mail lands here.
Email forwarding rules: corporate email systems sometimes filter unfamiliar senders.
Wrong email: make sure you typed the email on your account correctly. If you signed up with
[email protected]but typed[email protected], the email goes to a typo address.
To stop this happening again: add a Boardssey-team email to your allow-list / not-spam list once you find the email. Reset and verification emails come from [email protected] (or similar).
Google or Discord sign-in failing
The most common causes:
Authorization denied: you clicked "Cancel" on Google/Discord's consent screen. Re-start the sign-in and accept.
Provider account changed: if you signed up with one Google account but are signed into a different one in your browser, the sign-in fails. Sign out of Google in your browser, then retry.
Provider hasn't been connected: if you're trying to sign in via Google/Discord but only ever signed up with email, that provider isn't linked to your Boardssey account. Sign in with email + password, then connect Google or Discord from Settings → User → Email and login.
If the provider's screen errors out (rare), try signing in via email + password instead while we sort out the provider connection on our side.
"This email is already in use"
You're trying to sign up with an email that already has a Boardssey account. Two common causes:
You signed up before and forgot. Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page.
You signed up via Google/Discord and don't realize it. Try signing in via Google/Discord with that email instead of email + password.
If neither applies, contact us, we'll help sort out the duplicate.
Stuck on the MFA prompt
If you're past the password step and Boardssey is asking for a 6-digit code you can't get to, that's a separate situation, see I'm locked out, MFA recovery.

We'll typically respond within one business day. For sign-in issues that block billing or a publisher meeting, mention urgency and we'll do our best.
Tips & common questions
Can someone else's password reset link sign me in to my account? No. Reset links are single-use and tied to the specific account they were issued for.
I keep getting "incorrect password" but I'm sure it's right. Some browsers auto-fill the wrong password if you have multiple Boardssey- adjacent accounts saved. Try typing it manually, or check your password manager for the entry.
My password works but Boardssey says my account is "suspended." Suspensions are rare and usually billing-related. Open the email at the address on your account; we send a notice before suspension. Pay the outstanding invoice via the link in the email and the suspension lifts immediately.
I keep getting signed out every few hours. Sessions usually last a couple of weeks. If you're being signed out frequently, your browser may be clearing cookies (private/incognito mode does this), or you may be using Sign out everywhere from another device. Use a regular browser window and check your sign-in is in only one place.
I want to make sure no old sessions are still signed in somewhere. Settings → User → Email and login has a Sign out everywhere option. Click it; you'll need to sign back in on each of your devices.
