Creating your Boardssey account

Sign up for Boardssey, set up your team workspace, and start your 14-day free trial.

This page walks you through creating a Boardssey account: pick a plan, sign up, set up your team workspace, and start your 14-day free trial.

The whole thing takes about 5 minutes.

What this page helps you do

  • Decide where to start (free trial vs. paid plan).

  • Sign up with email, Google, or Discord.

  • Set up your team workspace and your own profile.

  • Begin your 14-day free trial.

Before you start

  • You'll be asked for a payment method to start the trial. Your card is not charged until the 14 days are up; you can cancel anytime before then with no charge.

  • If you're a LaunchBoom client or a Panda Game Manufacturing client, you can get the Pathfinder plan free through their special programs. See Plans and pricing for details before signing up.

1. Go to boardssey.com and pick a plan

Open boardssey.com and click Try for Free in the top navigation.

You'll see the three plans:

  • Adventurer: the entry plan for solo designers.

  • Pathfinder: for designers building several games or pitching to publishers.

  • Oracle: for studios with multiple titles in development.

Pick whichever fits where you are right now. You can change plans later, upgrades and downgrades are pro-rated, and there's no penalty for switching.

2. Choose how to sign up

You can create your account three ways:

  • Email: enter your email and a password.

  • Continue with Google: uses your Google account; no separate password needed.

  • Continue with Discord: uses your Discord account.

Use whichever you'll remember. Your work email is a good choice if you'll be inviting team members later.

If you signed up by email, you'll get a confirmation email, click the link to verify your address.

3. Set up your team workspace

After signing up you'll see a short setup flow with three sections: Team, Profile, and Plan.

In the Team section:

  • Team / company name: what your workspace is called. Solo? Use your own name or a project name. You can rename this later.

  • Website URL: optional.

  • Are you a publisher?: yes or no. Helps us tailor the dashboard.

Click Create Team to continue.

4. Fill in your profile

In the Profile section, add your first and last name and pick the role(s) that describe what you do. Roles include Game Designer, Game Developer, Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Cultural Consultant, Production Manager, Translator, Sculptor, Editor, Writer, Art Director, Project Manager, Owner.

You can pick more than one. This is just for your profile, it doesn't change what you can do in the app.

Click Continue.

5. Start your 14-day free trial

In the Plan section, confirm your chosen plan and pick a billing frequency:

  • Monthly: billed every month.

  • Annual: billed once a year, saves the equivalent of two months.

Click Start 14-Day Trial.

You'll be asked for a payment method (card details, billing address). Your card is not charged until the 14 days are up. You can cancel anytime before then from Account β†’ Billing.

If you have a coupon code (for example from LaunchBoom or Panda), enter it here.

Click Start trial to finish. You'll land on your new team's dashboard, ready to create your first game.

Tips & common questions

What's actually free? The 14-day trial. After that, you'll be charged whichever plan you picked unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Can I switch plans later? Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from Account β†’ Billing. Changes are pro-rated.

Do I need a credit card to start? Yes, the trial requires a payment method. You won't be charged until day 15.

I signed up but didn't get the confirmation email. Check your spam folder. If it's not there, sign in to Boardssey, there's usually a "resend confirmation" option. Otherwise, message us via the chat bubble in the bottom right of the app.

Can I have more than one team workspace? Yes. You can be invited to additional teams, and you can also create new teams from Account β†’ Teams. Each team has its own subscription.

I'm a LaunchBoom or Panda client, should I sign up directly? Reach out to LaunchBoom or Panda first to redeem your free Pathfinder access. They'll guide you through the right path.
