The Timeline view of All Tasks lays your tasks out by due date, one row per game, so you can see which weeks are crowded and which game is waiting on work.
What this page helps you do
- See every dated task on a timeline, grouped by game.
- Zoom from weeks to years and jump to today.
- Filter by assignee, project, tag or priority.
- Show each game's milestones next to its tasks.
You'll start from Projects in the sidebar, the All Tasks tab, then the Timeline button (the one with the bar chart icon) in the view row.
Read the timeline
Each row is a game, with its cover; the title links to the game. Tasks from projects with no game sit in a No game row.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the row of games, a vertical line for today, and a mark on each task's due day. Overdue tasks, open tasks and done tasks are drawn differently.
- What you can do: hover a task for its card: description, subtasks, tags, project, game, priority, due day and assignees. Click it to open the task on its board.
- Good to know: more than three tasks on one day in one row collapse into a single mark that lists them. Drag inside the chart to pan.
Zoom and jump
The controls above the chart set the time scale and bring you back to today.
Helpful details
- Key areas: Today, and the time scale picker: Weeks, Months, Quarters, Years.
- What you can do: use Weeks to plan the next sprint and Quarters or Years to see a whole campaign.
- Good to know: the timeline covers one year back and two years ahead from today. The zoom you pick is remembered for this team in your browser.
Filter the timeline
The filters sit next to the time scale.
Helpful details
- Key areas: Assignee (Anyone, Me, Unassigned or a teammate), Project (All projects or one), Tag (All tags or one) and priority (Any priority or one).
- What you can do: combine them: "Me, project Castle, priority High" shows your urgent work on one board. Filters are remembered per team in this browser.
- Good to know: Show completed is off by default, so finished tasks are hidden. Turn it on to review what got done.
Show milestones
Turn on Show milestones to draw each game's milestones in its row, next to the tasks.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the Show milestones switch. Team-wide milestones appear in a row at the bottom.
- What you can do: check that the tasks for a release land before the release date.
- Good to know: milestones are read-only here. Add or move them on the Milestones tab (see Plan key dates with Milestones).
Tips & common questions
A task is not on the timeline. It has no due date. The chart prints how many are missing, like "4 without a due date". Give the task a due date in its sheet and it appears.
The chart says it shows only the first 2000 tasks. The timeline caps at 2000 dated tasks for the period. Narrow it with a filter (one project, one assignee) to see the rest.
Can I move a task by dragging it on the timeline? No. Open the task and change its due date in the sheet. Milestones, on their own tab, can be dragged.
Why is the chart empty? It says "No tasks to show yet" when none of the tasks you can see has a due date in the period, or when your filters hide them all. Reset the filters to Anyone, All projects, All tags and Any priority.
