Once a game has a BoardGameGeek (BGG) link, its page gains a BGG Forums tab that lists what the community is posting about the game. Read it here, reply on BGG.
What this page helps you do
- Scan the latest BGG posts about your game without leaving Boardssey.
- Filter by threads, replies, session reports or reviews.
- Jump to a post on BGG to answer it.
You'll start from a game's page: click the BGG Forums tab.
Before you start
- The tab appears only when the game has a BGG Link. Add one on the Edit game page. See Connecting BoardGameGeek.
Read recent entries
Click BGG Forums. Under Recent Entries you see a list of posts, each with its type, title, author ("By ...") and date, and the first lines of the text.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the type buttons All, Threads, Replies, Sessions and Reviews narrow the list. The Filter by title... box searches the titles you have loaded.
- What you can do: set Rows per page and page through with the arrows; the footer reads "Showing 1 to 10 of 42 entries".
- Good to know: the tab shows "Powered by BoardGameGeek". With no posts yet you see "No recent forum entries found".
Reply on BGG
Click Read More on an entry. It opens on boardgamegeek.com in a new tab, where you can sign in and reply.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the tab is read-only. Boardssey never posts to BGG for you.
- What you can do: keep the tab open during a launch week to catch rules questions early.
- Good to know: posts are fetched from BGG when you open the tab, so a brand-new reply may take a few minutes to appear.
Tips & common questions
The tab is missing on my game. The game has no BGG link. Add one on the Edit page and click Save game.
The list is empty. Newer games often have no posts yet. If the game is established, check that the BGG link points at the right page.
Can I filter by date or author? No. Filter by type and title, and page through the list.
Is the tab visible to Collaborators? Yes, to anyone who can open the game. Like the rest of the game page, it is disabled while the game is archived.
