What this page helps you do

  • Open a game from your team’s Games list by clicking its cover image.

  • Open BGG Forums for that game so you can see discussions about it on BoardGameGeek.

  • Browse recent BGG entries and open any thread in your browser to read the full discussion.

  • Stay in context — Boardssey links directly to BGG so you can research community discussions without leaving your workflow.

This flow starts on your team’s Games page (e.g. …/home/[your-team]/games). You’ll click a game’s cover, then BGG Forums, then choose a thread to open on BGG.


Opening a game from your Games list

Your Games list shows your workspace’s games as cards with cover images. Click a game’s cover to open that game’s page.

Helpful details

  • Key areas on the screen: Each game appears as a card with a cover image; the list may include search or filters depending on your workspace.

  • What you can do here: Click any game cover to open the game page, where you’ll find BGG Forums and other sections for that game.

  • Good to know: You only see games you have access to. If you don’t see BGG Forums on the game page, your role may not include access to that section.

On the game page, BGG Forums appears in the sidebar or navigation. Click BGG Forums to see recent BoardGameGeek forum threads for this game.

  • What you can do here: Click BGG Forums to view a list of recent BGG threads linked to this game. Each entry can be opened on BoardGameGeek.

Browsing recent BGG entries

The BGG Forums view lists recent forum threads for the game. Use Recent Entries… (or the equivalent control on screen) to see or filter the list of threads.

The full thread opens on boardgamegeek.com. You’ll see the discussion, posts, and author names (e.g. usernames like Schoolmarm5) as they appear on BGG.

  • Key areas on the screen: The page is BoardGameGeek’s thread view — post content, author names, and BGG’s own navigation and controls.

  • What you can do here: Read the full thread, reply if you’re logged in on BGG, or use BGG’s links to jump to the game page or other forums.

  • Good to know: This page is on BoardGameGeek, not Boardssey. To get back to your game in Boardssey, use your browser tabs or open Boardssey again from your bookmarks or workspace.


Tips & common questions

Where does the BGG Forums data come from?
Boardssey shows recent forum threads from BoardGameGeek for the game you have open. The list is tied to that game’s BGG listing.

Do I need a BGG account?
You can open and read threads without logging in. To post or use member-only features on BGG, you’ll need to sign in on boardgamegeek.com.

I don’t see BGG Forums on the game page.
Your role in the workspace may not include access to that section, or the game may not be linked to a BGG entry. Check with your workspace admin if you expect to see it.

Can I open BGG in the same window?
Clicking Read more typically opens BGG in a new tab or window, so you can keep Boardssey open and switch between them.
