Delete a team workspace
Permanently remove a team, everything in it and its subscription. Only the Primary Owner can do this, with an emailed code.
Last reviewed October 11, 2026
Deleting a team is permanent: every game, project, playtest, sell sheet, contact and chat message in it is removed and its subscription is cancelled. This page is for the Primary Owner, and it starts with the alternatives.
What this page helps you do
- Decide whether deleting is really what you want.
- Delete the team with the emailed confirmation code.
- Know what is removed and what is not.
You'll start from Settings > Team Account > Danger Zone.
Before you start
- Only the Primary Owner sees Delete Team. Admins see Leave Team in the same place.
- Download anything you want to keep first: sell sheet PDFs, component exports, media.
- You need access to your email inbox for the confirmation code.
Consider the alternatives
Most people who look for "delete team" want one of these instead:
- Cancel the subscription and keep the data: the team locks (every page redirects to Billing) but nothing is deleted, and you can subscribe again later. See Update or cancel your subscription.
- Transfer ownership so the team continues without you. See Transfer team ownership.
- Leave the team after transferring: Team Account > Danger Zone > Leave Team.
Delete the team
- Open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Settings, then Team Account.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone and click Delete Team.
- In the Deleting Team dialog, click Send Verification Code, type the 6-digit code from your email and click Verify Code.
- Read "You are deleting the team {team}. This action cannot be undone" and click Delete Team.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the Danger Zone at the bottom of the Team Account tab.
- What you can do: click Request New Code if the email does not arrive.
- Good to know: no password or authenticator code is asked; the emailed code is the check.
What is removed
Everything that lived in the team: games with their components, media, rules, versions and permissions; projects, tasks and comments; playtests and feedback; sell sheets; outreach and contacts; the Catalog pages; Team Chat channels and messages; linked cloud folders; all memberships. The subscription is cancelled.
Helpful details
- Key areas: public links to the team's Catalog or feedback forms stop working.
- What you can do: nothing after the fact; there is no undo in the app.
- Good to know: your personal account, your other teams and other members' accounts are not touched. Past invoices stay in Stripe's records.
Tips & common questions
Can I export everything first? There is no one-click export. Download sell sheet PDFs and component exports, save your media, and copy rules and notes by hand.
I am an Admin and want to delete the team. Ask the Primary Owner. Only they see the button.
I deleted a team by mistake. Contact us through the chat bubble as soon as you can. We cannot promise a restore.
Do I get a refund for the unused time? Not automatically. Contact us and we will look at it.
Does deleting one team affect my other teams? No. Each team has its own data and its own subscription.
