Your team's settings, tab by tab

What each Settings tab holds (My Account, Team Account, Team Roles, Notifications, Billing), who sees it and where each control is.

Last reviewed October 11, 2026

Boardssey keeps your personal settings and your team's settings on one page with five tabs. This page is a map of that page, for anyone looking for a control and for Admins setting up a team.

What this page helps you do

  • Open Settings and know which tabs you will see for your role.
  • Find the team's logo, name, brand colors and social links.
  • Find the members list, notification switches and billing.
  • Know which actions are for the Primary Owner only.

You'll start from your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then Settings.

Before you start

  • Settings always opens for the team you are currently in. Switch teams with the team switcher at the top of the sidebar first if you need another team.
  • Your role decides which tabs appear: everyone sees My Account and Notifications; Admins add Team Account and Team Roles; the Primary Owner adds Billing.

My Account

Your personal settings, the same in every team: Your Profile Picture, Your Name, Language, Calendar Settings, Cloud storage (for teams in that rollout), Update your Email, Update your Password, Multi-Factor Authentication, Linked Accounts, Apps with access to Boardssey and the Danger Zone.

Helpful details

Team Account

The team's identity. Visible to Admins and the Primary Owner.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: Team Logo (upload an image), Team Info (Team Name, Website, Are you a publisher? with Yes, I am a publisher / No, I am not a publisher, then Update Team), Brand Colors (Primary Color, Secondary Color, Accent Color, Save Colors), Social Profiles (Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), Bluesky, BoardGameGeek, Discord, Save Social Profiles) and the Danger Zone.
  • What you can do: rename the team, mark it as a publisher, and store the colors and links Boardssey uses for consistent branding across your content.
  • Good to know: a Team URL field appears in Team Info only when the team name uses non-Latin characters. The Danger Zone shows Delete Team to the Primary Owner and Leave Team to other Admins. See Rename your team workspace and Delete a team workspace.

Team Roles

Members and invitations. Visible to Admins and the Primary Owner.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: the card Invite Your Team and Assemble Your Design Guild with the members table, the Invite Team button, and the card Sent Invites.
  • What you can do: search members, open a row's ⋯ menu for Update Role, Transfer Ownership (Primary Owner only) or Remove from Account; manage invites with Update Role, Renew Invitation or Remove Invitation.
  • Good to know: see Invite and manage team members and Roles explained.

Notifications

Your own notification choices, applied in every team. Visible to everyone.

Helpful details

Billing

The team's plan. Visible to the Primary Owner only.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: Your Plan, Plan Details and Manage your Billing Details with Visit Billing Portal.
  • What you can do: read the renewal date, open the Stripe portal to change plan, card or cancel.
  • Good to know: Admins manage billing too, from the team's Billing page that every Upgrade button opens. The "plan limit" tooltip on the Games page links to the Billing tab; an Admin who is not the Primary Owner lands on My Account instead and should use an Upgrade button.

Tips & common questions

I only see two tabs. You are a Member or Collaborator. Team Account and Team Roles are for Admins; Billing is for the Primary Owner.

Settings opened for the wrong team. Settings follows the team you have open. Pick the right team in the team switcher at the top of the sidebar, then open Settings again.

Where is the theme switch? In the profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar, under Theme: Light, Dark or System. It is saved per browser.

Where do I set the public Catalog address? Not here. The Catalog has its own settings under Catalog in the sidebar.

Where are my dashboard cards configured? On the dashboard itself, with its layout controls. See Dashboard tour.
