For publishers: viewing a Boardssey catalog

A short guide for publishers, retailers, reviewers and other guests landing on a designer's Boardssey catalog. No account needed.

Last reviewed October 11, 2026

Someone sent you a link that looks like bdsy.cc/their-studio. This is a Boardssey catalog: a public website a designer or publisher keeps up to date from inside Boardssey. You do not need an account, and nothing is tracked about you personally.

What this page helps you do

  • Understand what a Boardssey catalog is.
  • Find a game and read its details.
  • Download the rulebook, sell sheet or press kit.
  • Get in touch with the designer.

You'll start from the catalog link you received.

Browse the catalog

The front page shows the studio's logo and a short introduction (in a sidebar on a computer, a top bar on a phone), a menu, and the games as a grid of covers. Games marked New come first with a badge.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: the menu starts with Games and may add pages such as About us, Submissions or Contact, and links to the studio's shop or website.
  • What you can do: when the studio enabled them, use the search box and the Players, Play time and Genre filters above the grid to narrow the list.
  • Good to know: a catalog can be in another language. The buttons and filters follow the catalog's language when Boardssey speaks it; otherwise they follow your browser's language.

Read a game page

Click a cover or More Info to open the game's page.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: the name and who made it, a short and a long description, the selling points, genre and mechanisms, players, play time, minimum age, complexity out of 5, the component list, the price, where the game is already licensed (or "Available Worldwide"), designer and artist credits, and a gallery of images, videos and PDFs.
  • What you can do: open images and PDFs full screen from the gallery.
  • Good to know: you will not see the game's development status, internal notes, playtest results or who else it was pitched to. Those stay private to the designer.

Download files

Under the game's details, a row of buttons offers the files the designer made public.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: Download Rulebook, Download Sell Sheet, Download Print & Play, Watch Pitch Video, BGG Entry (the game on BoardGameGeek) and Press kit.
  • What you can do: click Press kit to get the cover, images, sell sheet and a fact sheet in one ZIP file. See The press kit download.
  • Good to know: a button marked "password required" asks for a password the designer gives out on request. The press kit never contains protected files.

Get in touch

Most catalogs have a Contact or Submissions page in the menu with a Send us a message form at the end.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: the form asks for your Name, Email, Company (optional) and Message.
  • What you can do: send your message; Boardssey emails it to the studio and files it in their inbox. The reply comes to the email address you gave, from the studio's own email.
  • Good to know: some catalogs link to an email address or a website in the menu instead. If you want continued access to a designer's work in progress, they can invite you into their Boardssey team as a Collaborator; that happens only on their invitation.

Tips & common questions

Is the information current? Yes. The catalog is built from the designer's live data and updates when they save a change.

Can I share the link? Yes. The catalog is public; forward or embed it as you would any web address.

Will the designer know I visited? They see anonymous counts: how many times the catalog, each game and each page were opened, and how many downloads. No cookies are set by Boardssey and no personal data is recorded. The studio may add its own analytics tool, which follows that tool's rules.

The link says the page was not found. The studio may have unpublished the catalog or changed its address, or their subscription may have ended. Ask them for a fresh link.

I want a Boardssey account for my own publishing work. Boardssey is built for the people who make games: designers, studios and publishers. If you want a tour, email hello@boardssey.com.
