Rounded Corners
Round the corners of card images by a radius in millimetres and download them as transparent PNGs, one file or a zip.
Last reviewed October 11, 2026
Rounded Corners takes one card image or a whole batch and rounds the corners, leaving the corners transparent. Use the result for mockups, sell sheets or a cleaner print-and-play.
What this page helps you do
- Upload one or many images (or a PDF of cards).
- Set a corner radius in millimetres and trim off bleed.
- Download transparent PNGs.
You'll start from Tools, under the Prototyping or Designing chip.
Open the tool
In the sidebar, open Tools, click Prototyping (or Designing), then click Rounded Corners.
Helpful details
- Key areas: an Upload Images area, a Settings panel with Corner Radius (mm) and Advanced Settings, and a Preview of the first image.
- What you can do: adjust the radius and watch the preview update.
- Good to know: the card carries a NEW badge and is listed under both Prototyping and Designing.
Upload images
Drop in JPG, PNG, SVG or PDF files.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the Uploaded Images list counts what you added. Each page of a PDF becomes one image.
- What you can do: upload a whole deck at once.
- Good to know: everything is processed in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
Set the radius
Type a Corner Radius (mm). 0 means no rounding.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the radius is in millimetres only. The tool assumes your image is a 300 dpi scan of the card, so 3 mm becomes about 35 px.
- What you can do: standard cards use around 3 mm. Hold a real card you like next to the preview to match it.
- Good to know: if your image is not 300 dpi at print size, the rounding scales with it: a 150 dpi image gets a visually larger corner.
Trim the bleed first
Open Advanced Settings and set Bleed (mm) when your files still include bleed.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the tool crops that many millimetres off every edge before rounding, so the corners land on the real card edge.
- What you can do: leave it at 0 when the images are already trimmed.
- Good to know: the output is always PNG with a transparent background, at the original image quality.
Generate the PNGs
Click Generate PNGs.
Helpful details
- Key areas: one image downloads as
<name>_rounded.<extension>; several download together asrounded-images.zip. - What you can do: drop the PNGs into Digital Mockups, a sell sheet or a catalog page.
- Good to know: a single file keeps the original extension in its name even though the
content is PNG. Rename
card_rounded.jpgtocard_rounded.pngif a program refuses to open it.
Tips & common questions
Why transparent PNG? The cut-off corners have to be empty, and only PNG can store transparency. JPG would fill them with white.
My corners look jagged. Use a larger source image. The edges are smoothed, but a small image leaves few pixels to work with.
Can I add a border at the same time? No. Add the border in your design program, or use the border setting in P&P Cards Layout when printing.
Do I need this for printing? Not for the print itself. Rounded files make screen mockups look like real cards; for paper, cut the corners with a punch after printing.
