Manage your profile
Update your profile picture and name, pick a theme, and find the other personal settings on the My Account tab.

Your profile is the part of Boardssey that is you, not your team: your picture, your name and your preferences. They follow you into every team you join. This page is for anyone setting up or tidying their account.
What this page helps you do
- Change your profile picture and name.
- Switch between light and dark theme.
- Find the other cards on My Account: language, calendar, email, password, MFA, linked accounts, connected apps.
You'll start from Settings > My Account.
Open My Account
Open your profile menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Settings. The My Account tab is selected by default.
Helpful details
- Key areas: cards from top to bottom: Your Profile Picture, Your Name, Language, Calendar Settings, Cloud storage (teams in that rollout), Update your Email, Update your Password, Multi-Factor Authentication, Linked Accounts, Apps with access to Boardssey, Danger Zone.
- What you can do: everything here applies to you in every team.
- Good to know: the other tabs (Team Account, Team Roles, Billing) belong to the team you have open. See Your team's settings, tab by tab.
Change your picture
In Your Profile Picture, upload a photo. Square images look best, since the picture is shown in round avatars.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the first card on the tab.
- What you can do: replace the picture whenever you like.
- Good to know: teammates see the new picture the next time they load the app; if yours looks stale, refresh the page.
Change your name
In Your Name, fill in Your First Name and Your Last Name and click Update Profile.

- What you can do: your name shows next to your tasks, comments, chat messages and whiteboard cursor (first name plus the initial of your last name).
- Good to know: names need at least 2 characters.
Switch the theme
Open the profile menu and point at Theme, then choose Light, Dark or System (follows your device).

- What you can do: pick a different theme on each device.
- Good to know: the choice is stored in the browser, so a new browser starts on System.

Tips & common questions
Do teammates get told when I change my name or picture? No. They see the change the next time they load the app.
Can I have a different name in each team? No. One profile across every team.
Does my profile show on the public Catalog? The Catalog belongs to the team, not to you. Your name and picture are not shown there unless the team adds them.
Where did the theme switch go? It is in the profile menu under Theme, not on the Settings page.
