All Tasks is one list of every open task across every project you can see. Use it to answer "what do I have to do?" without opening each board.

What this page helps you do

  • See every open task in your team on one screen.
  • Switch to just your own tasks.
  • Group tasks by project, assignee or tag.
  • Sort by name, priority or deadline, and complete tasks from the list.

You'll start from Projects in the sidebar, then the All Tasks tab (/home/projects?tab=tasks).

Open All Tasks

In the sidebar, click Projects, then the All Tasks tab. The header reads "Organize and prioritize development tasks".

Helpful details

  • Key areas: a row of view buttons at the top, a line that says "Showing X of Y tasks", and the list.
  • What you can do: the list opens on the All Tasks view, sorted by Deadline, soonest first. Tasks without a due date come last.
  • Good to know: the list shows open tasks only. Completed tasks are not listed here; find them in the Done column of their board. On a narrow screen the view buttons show only their icons.

Pick a view

The buttons in the top row switch between six views.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: All Tasks (one flat list), My Tasks (tasks assigned to you), Projects (grouped by project), Assignee (grouped by assignee), Tags (grouped by tag) and Timeline (tasks by due date, one row per game).
  • What you can do: in the grouped views, each group is its own small table. Click Load More at the bottom to bring in more groups or more tasks.
  • Good to know: Boardssey remembers the view and the sort you used, per team, in this browser. It does not follow you to another device. The Timeline has its own article: See tasks on a timeline.

Read and sort the list

Every row shows the task, its project, its game, its assignees, its priority and its deadline.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: the column headers Task, Project, Game, Assignee, Priority and Deadline.
  • What you can do: click Task, Priority or Deadline to sort by that column; click again to flip the direction. Project, Game and Assignee are not sortable.
  • Good to know: the flat list loads 15 tasks at a time. The grouped views load a few groups at a time (3 projects, 5 assignees or 10 tags). Load More fetches the next batch.

Act on a task

Each row has a checkbox and links.

Helpful details

  • Key areas: the checkbox at the start of the row, the task name, the project name and the game name.
  • What you can do: tick the checkbox to complete the task right here; it leaves the list because the list shows open tasks only. Click the task name to open it on its board with the task sheet open. Click the project to open the board, or the game to open the game page.
  • Good to know: a deadline in the past is shown in red, judged in your own time zone. There is no bulk select. Priority and deadline are edited in the task sheet.

Tips & common questions

Why don't I see all the tasks I expect? You only see tasks from projects you can open. Collaborators also need access to a project's game to see its tasks. See Control who can see a project.

Can I filter by assignee, project or tag? In the list views, use the grouped views: My Tasks for your own, Projects, Assignee or Tags to see one group at a time. The Timeline view has real filters: assignee, project, tag and priority.

Where are completed tasks? Not in these lists. Open the project's board and look in Done. The Timeline can show them: turn on Show completed.

How do I find tasks without a due date? Sort by Deadline and scroll to the end; undated tasks come last. The Timeline also prints a count, like "4 without a due date".

Can I export to CSV? No. Copy the rows you need, or take a screenshot for a status update.
