The games library is the home page for every game in your team. It shows each game's cover and status, and one click takes you to the full game page.
What this page helps you do
- Find a game by name or by development status.
- Switch between cards and a compact list.
- Change a game's status without opening it.
- Archive, copy or delete a game from its menu.
- Start a new game.
You'll start from the Games page in the sidebar.
Open the library
In the sidebar, click Games. The page is titled Games: Your Design Command Center and lists the games you can see. Click any card (or row) to open the game.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the header holds Share Games Catalog and New game. Under it sit the search box, the A-Z sort button, the Status filter, the Show Archived switch, a count such as "1-20 of 20 games", and the Cards / List view picker.
- What you can do: in Cards view each game shows its cover, a status chip, its title, an "Expansion of ..." line for expansions, and an Archived badge when it applies. In List view the columns are Image, Name, Status and Description.
- Good to know: Admins and Members see every game in the team. Collaborators see only the games they were granted on the Permissions tab.
Search, filter and sort
Type in Search for a game to filter by title as you type. Open Status to tick one or more development stages; Select all and Clear all reset the list. The A-Z button flips the title order between A to Z and Z to A.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the 15 statuses are Idea, Designing, Playtesting, Developed, Localizing, Art & Layout, Ready to Pitch, Looking for Publisher, Quoting, Crowdfunding, Pre-Production, Manufacturing, In Freight, Licensed and Published.
- What you can do: your status selection is remembered for you, so the library opens filtered the same way next time.
- Good to know: archived games are hidden until you turn on Show Archived. The switch then reads Hide Archived.
Change a status from the library
Click the status chip on a card. The Update Status dialog opens with the list of stages. Pick one and click Update.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the same chip sits under the title on the game page and works the same way there.
- What you can do: move a game from Playtesting to Ready to Pitch in two clicks, without opening the Edit page.
- Good to know: the status also drives the Status filter, the dashboard and the status strip on your team home.
Use the card menu
Admins and team owners see a ⋮ menu on every card (right-click a card for the same menu). It holds Copy to other account, Permissions, Archive (or Unarchive) and Delete.
Helpful details
- Key areas: Copy to other account only appears when you belong to at least one other team. Permissions jumps to the game's Permissions tab.
- What you can do: archive a finished game, or delete a scrapped prototype after typing its title to confirm.
- Good to know: Members do not see this menu. They can still archive a game from the game page header and delete it from the Edit page. See Copy or archive a game and Delete a game.
Page through a long library
The library shows 100 games per page by default. At the bottom, Rows per page offers 25, 50, 100 or 200, with "Page 1 of 2" and arrows beside it.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the count above the list ("1-100 of 134 games") tells you how many games match the current search and filters.
- What you can do: set 200 rows and the List view to scan a large portfolio at once.
- Good to know: search, filters, the archived switch and the page are all part of the page address, so you can bookmark a filtered view.
Start a new game
Click New game in the header. The Add a New Game to the Hub dialog asks for a status and a working title, and can pull details from BoardGameGeek. See Create a game and Import a game from BoardGameGeek.
Helpful details
- Key areas: the game limit is 5 games on Adventurer, 20 on Pathfinder and unlimited on Oracle. Archived games count toward it.
- What you can do: at the limit the New game button is greyed out with the message "You've reached your plan limit!" and a link to upgrade.
- Good to know: Collaborators never see New game. Only Admins and Members can create games.
Share your catalog
Share Games Catalog in the header takes you to the Catalog settings, where you publish a public page of your games. Once the catalog is published, the button turns into your catalog address, and clicking it copies the link.
See Your catalog: settings at a glance.
Tips & common questions
A game I expected to see isn't here. Turn on Show Archived, then check the Status filter (Select all clears it). If it is still missing and you are a Collaborator, ask an Admin to grant you access on the game's Permissions tab.
Can I import a spreadsheet of games? Not today. You can create games one at a time (the Save & Add Another button keeps the dialog open) or import a published game's details from BoardGameGeek.
Why is the cover blurry? Covers are scaled down for the cards. Upload a cover that is at least 600 pixels on its long side on the Edit game page.
Can I tag or group games beyond status? No. Use the status, the title and the short description, and link expansions to their base game so they show "Expansion of ..." on the card.
Does archiving free up a game slot? No. Archived games still count toward your plan limit. Deleting a game frees the slot.
